“What It Did to Me: Touch Me with Responsibility”
In life, people do many different things to us. Some of these things we find enjoyable, while some of them we take offense to. The key thing that I want to point out is that taking offense is a choice. We choose whether or not to become upset. In addition, the things that upset us may not upset the next person. That means that we are the final authority when it comes to our emotions. There is something inside us that agrees with what was done to make us happy or upsets us by the negative actions of others.

If you know that the person who hurt you cares for you, then his or her actions were received by you in a way that was not intended. In other words, the hurt is based on your internal condition, which makes the pain your responsibility.

“Summary”
Instead of blaming others for your internal hurts, realize that the hurt you feel is a result of your perspective (your past experiences). If you want to find the root to your hurt, take the time to search your own heart for the source of the pain, then express it as a part of your responsibility, not as the other person’s fault.

“Daily Interaction”
Work out together. Run in place for 10 minutes, then hold her feet while she does as many sit-ups as she can. Hold his feet while he doubles what you did. Have her get into the push-up position while you place three items on her back (i.e., books, eggs, cups of water); then watch her do as many push-ups as she can. Once she is done, you must double the number of her push-ups while she doubles the number of items placed on your back. Have fun!
