“My Want for You: Touch Me with Desire”
Love is an action word. Love can be seen and felt through expression. If we say we love someone, we give to him or her. We express ourselves to that person. We have specific desires for the people we love. These desires extend beyond us to them. We find ourselves doing things for others and making sacrifices for them. Because love is the opposite of selfishness, we are nowhere in the equation. It is all about our loved ones and what is best for them.
Desire is simply “to wish for the possession and enjoyment of, with earnestness; to long for.” A desire can be viewed as something you personally possess and hold in your heart. Love for someone else gives you the desire for that person to be happy, which means that certain pieces of your heart strive for their happiness.
“Summary”
You wish the best for the ones you love, and not for any personal gain other than the fact that seeing them happy would make you happy. Find those areas of your heart where you desire to see the greatest things happen for the people you love, and use that energy to encourage and support them.
“Daily Interaction”
Take time together to find out what dreams your partner has had in the past. Ask him or her if it something he or she would still like to do. If so, make an internal commitment to do what you can to help your partner achieve those goals. Remember, if your partner becomes happier in life, your life together will be happier.
