“Your Need for Me: Touch Me with Communication”
People in relationships sometimes feel better equipped to tell the other person what it is that they need. Love is based on the way you perceive love, not just on the way it is given. The most sincere intentions can be misconstrued. The way you see love is based on the perspective from which you are looking. The only way you will ever know how someone perceives love is through communication and experience. You don’t know everything about the other person, no matter how long you have known him or her or how much time you have spent together.
“Summary”
Making someone happy is much easier than we think sometimes. However, it requires you to put aside your own expectations of what your partner needs. Ask him or her what it is he or she needs. Then make yourself do what may be the hardest part of all: fulfilling that need.
“Daily Interaction”
Do a joint foot massage. Take off your shoes and socks. Let the man wash the woman’s feet first, then let her wash the man’s. While your feet are warm and soft, sit facing each other on the bed, floor or couch with your backs propped up against something so that each of you can hold the other’s feet comfortably. Massage your partner’s feet while your feet are being massaged. During this time, discuss your day or watch a movie. If you don’t want your partner to stop…don’t stop massaging his or her feet!
